Vegan burger bar The Squeeze recently opened in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City. Founder Karliin Brooks opened the bar as an extension of her wellness brand—that currently consists of four juice shop locations—of the same name. While The Squeeze still serves juice, this location also offers a full menu of snacks salads, quinoa bowls, desserts, and plant-based burgers such as the Black Bean Coconut Bacon Burger. “Kids, dogs, carnivores, Trump supporters are all into it,” Brooks said. “This is grass fed. For real.” The Squeeze is the newest addition to lower Manhattan’s vegan scene, which is also home to the flagship by Chloe restaurant and newly opened adjacent bakery Sweets by Chloe.
