The low-calorie brand is hopping on the vegan train with seven new coconut milk-based ice cream in flavors such as Sea Salt Caramel, Cinnamon Roll, and Chocolate Covered Banana

Los Angeles-based ice cream brand Halo Top Creamery announced today the launch of an expansive line of vegan ice cream flavors. The new coconut milk-based line includes seven flavors: Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate, Oatmeal Cookie, Sea Salt Caramel, Caramel Macchiato, Cinnamon Roll, and Chocolate Covered Banana. “The number one request that we get from our fans is to make a non-dairy and vegan-friendly version of Halo Top,” Halo Top CEO Justin Woolverton said. “Whether you have to or choose to restrict dairy—or only eat vegan—we always want to make sure we listen to our fans. It took a long time to ‘get it right,’ but we’re absolutely thrilled with the outcome and can’t wait for our fans to try these flavors.” Halo Top joins a larger trend of major brands catering to vegan customers with Ben & Jerry’s continued effort to expand its existing line of seven almond milk-based flavors launched last year, Breyers’ own two-flavor line, and Häagen-Dazs four-flavor, dairy-free options. The new vegan line is currently available on the Halo Top website and will be hitting nationwide retailers in mid-October.
