Los Angeles-based vegan ice cream shop Cocobella Creamery recently expanded into the retail sector. Its new coconut-based ice cream pints include flavors such as New York Cheesecake, Unicorn Magic (pink vanilla with vegan marshmallows, animal crackers, and rainbow sprinkles), Coffee Chip, Mint Chip, Sunflower Butter Cup, and Strawberry Fields. “A number of customers have pointed out that our flavors are very fun and unique compared to what is available in stores, so we got inspired to bring our ice cream to market,” Cocobella co-owner Alice Cherng told VegNews. “We believe our whimsical and creative flavors set us apart from other vegan ice creams currently in stores.” The pints are currently available at vegan grocery store Besties Vegan Paradise in Los Angeles with more local and regional stores to be added in the coming weeks. Cherng hopes to eventually launch additional flavors and offer nationwide shipping.
