Later this month, Northern California chain Pizza My Heart is expanding its Miyoko’s Creamery vegan cheese offering to all 26 locations. Earlier this year, the chain became the first restaurant to offer Cultured Vegan Pizza Mozz, a new vegan cheese made by Miykoko’s, at its locations in Palo Alto and Monterey. As part of the launch, the chain added two new vegan pizzas to its menu: The Mt. Diablo (Beyond Meat hot Italian sausage, Miyoko’s vegan cheese, pizza sauce, garlic, mushrooms, pickled peppers, and fresh parsley); and The Mendocino (Miyoko’s vegan cheese, pizza sauce, Roma tomatoes, and garlic, topped with bread crumbs, fresh basil, and drizzled olive oil). Miyoko’s vegan cheese can also be substituted in any other pizza offered at Pizza My Heart.

Although the restaurants are currently closed for dine-in service due to the coronavirus pandemic, the new offerings are available for takeout on whole pizzas. “The restaurant industry, like so many other businesses, is suffering right now, and one way we can provide a little bit of support is by ordering takeout from our favorite local places,” Miyoko’s Creamery founder Miyoko Schinner told VegNews. “We’re proud to be partnering with Pizza My Heart as one of the first pizzerias to offer our new game-changing pizza mozzarella and to be able to provide this delicious vegan pizza takeout offering to even more people.”
