Serves: 2

Fire up the grill for a dish that perfectly balances bold, Korean-inspired heat with the natural sweetness of summer fruit. We used the new Gochujang Lightly Fried Tofu from Hodo Foods (a VegNews Hot Product Pick at Expo West 2026) and glazed it with a savory, spicy, and sweet mixture of gochujang, agave, and sesame oil before grilling it to charred perfection alongside juicy peaches and red onion.

What you need:

For the tofu skewers:
6 small wooden skewers
1 (8-ounce) package Lightly Fried Gochujang Tofu from Hodo Foods
1 large (or 2 small) peaches, cut into 1-inch squares
1 medium red onion, cut into 1-inch squares
To serve: fresh basil, lime wedges

For the gochujang glaze:
2 tablespoons gochujang
2 tablespoons agave
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Juice of ½ lime
2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil

What you do:

  1. Preheat grill or griddle to medium high heat. Soak skewers in water at least 20 minutes.
  2. Into a small bowl, combine all gochujang glaze ingredients and set aside.
  3. To skewers, add tofu square, peach square, and red onion square alternately. Brush liberally with glaze.
  4. Grill 8 to 10 minutes, turning once. Serve with fresh basil and a squeeze of lime juice.
