New Vegan Doritos Flavor Unveiled at Super Bowl

Snack company Doritos debuted its newest flavor “Blaze” in a Sunday Super Bowl commercial starring vegan actor Peter Dinklage (of Game of Thrones fame). The advertisement—which centers around a “fire and ice” theme—features Dinklage lip syncing over a Busta Rhymes rap song as he samples the spicy chips—which do not contain animal products according to the product’s nutrition label—and sets the room ablaze. Actor Morgan Freeman enters—lip syncing to a Missy Elliot rap song—and represents the “ice” element vis a vis a Mountain Dew Ice soda. Dinklage has been an outspoken advocate for animal-rights in recent years, partnering with organizations such as Farm Sanctuary and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals on several campaigns.
