Real Food Daily (RFD) is an ideal brunch spot with three locations in Los Angeles, including one in LAX airport. It’s a rare treat to find a great vegan meal at the airport—let alone an entire gourmet vegan restaurant. RFD has an extensive weekend brunch menu that lets you mix and match the savory and sweet dishes to satisfy all your cravings in one sitting. A full smoothie, juice, and cappuccino bar is also at-the-ready so you can pair your favorite beverage with your dish of choice.

2. New York City, NY: Champs Diner

In Brooklyn, Champ’s Diner serves up all-vegan comfort food that ranges from the classic B.E.C. (seitan bacon, tofu-scramble eggs, and plant-based American cheese on a hero sub) to decadent towers of pancakes including the cookie dough, mint chip, and S’mores stacks—which can all be topped with fresh whipped cream upon request. The ambience is reminiscent of a traditional 50s diner with vintage photos on the walls, checkerboard floors, and a variety of milkshakes and soda-pops to sip on while you immerse yourself in the throwback era of a simpler time when “friend requests” happened in-person over the juke box.

3. Philadelphia, PA: V Street

Portland’s A.N.D. Cafe makes an array of brunch delectables that are almost too pretty to eat—at least until you’ve had one of their morning margaritas and the drunchies kick in. Not only are their indulgent dishes like the pumpkin cheesecake waffle and southern biscuits & gravy entirely vegan, they are also gluten-free. The best part is, you can make any waffle a-la-mode with Coconut Bliss vanilla ice-cream and any coffee irish with spiked coffee liqueur.

5. Oakland, CA: Hella Vegan Eats

Flagship vegan restaurant, Hella Vegan Eats, is famous for their “Brunch Magic” menu. If you just can’t decide which meal you’re in the mood for, the Champions of Breakfast will be your best friend—with house-made biscuits and gravy, maple-glazed seitan bacon, sweet potato hash, savory tofu scramble, and organic fruit all piled onto a plate of brunchy goodness. You just can’t go wrong with the breakfast burrito, french toast, or any of these hella good vegan eats.

6. Miami, FL: Splurge Juice Bar and Cafe

Nothing beats the heat like a refreshing smoothie bowl topped with fresh berries and basil—particularly in Miami where heat and humidity are the everyday forecast. Splurge Juice Bar and Cafe is an all-vegan juicery with smoothies, shakes, cold fruity bowls, and hearty breakfast foods, such as the green power porridge and eggless scramble wrap. Pro-tip: you can boost any smoothie or bowl with superfoods such as chia and hemp seeds to get your day started off feeling refreshed and energized.

7. Chicago, IL: Chicago Diner

Brunch is fantastic, so why wait until the weekend? At Chicago Diner, brunch is served every day until 3pm. One-of-a-kind mouthwatering meals, like the french toast made from homemade cinnamon rolls and drizzled with strawberry coulis, can only be found at this unique diner that proudly proclaims “meat-free since ‘83.” Don’t forget to try one of their award-winning vegan milkshakes that come in eleven varieties such as rich cookie dough peanut butter and cool mint chocolate chip.

8. Dallas, TX : Spiral Diner & Bakery

VegeNation, in the midst of sin city, somehow manages to evade the debauchery and focus on their message: “Food that makes you feel really damn good … do good for the environment, do good by people, support local farms.” Hearty dishes such as the Badass Vegan Burrito and Fried Chicken ‘n Waffles Tower pair perfectly with their fresh juices, all spiked with a kick of vodka because, “It is Vegas, after all.”

10. Detroit, MI: Detroit Vegan Soul

“Catfish” Tofu & Grits and the DVS Breakfast Sandwich smothered in melted cheese with a side of baked yam make Detroit Vegan Soul (DVS) the ultimate vegan soul-food brunch experience.
