United Kingdom-based company BOL Foods—known for its salad jars, soups, and veggie pots—is now fully vegan. BOL founder Paul Brown decided to transition the popular brand when he had a self-described “Cowspiracy moment” after watching the environmentally focused vegan documentary. Brown removed meat from BOL’s recipes last year, causing the company’s profits to plummet. Brown recovered lost revenue by developing innovative plant-based recipes which helped to increase BOL’s profits threefold within one year. “The decision to drop meat and fish is the best decision we’ve ever made,” Brown said in a video promoting the brand’s decision to go vegan. “We now have a business that is so much more grounded in the ethical values and principles we believe in.”
