No Bones Beach Club will soon be making waves with vegan tiki drinks and Polynesian bites at its second location.

Seattle-based vegan tiki bar No Bones Beach Club announced plans to expand to a second location in Portland, OR. No Bones started as a truck in 2014 and became the world’s first vegan tiki bar when it opened its flagship location in Seattle last year, and will be creating a similar beach vibe with its new location in Portland. The space that will house the new No Bones is two-stories high with ample outdoor seating. “Our customers come from all over the country to eat at the beach club,” owner MaKenzie DeVito says, adding that “it only seemed natural to expand to Portland!” DeVito strongly believes in food as advocacy. “The more vegan options [that are] available,” she says, “the better off we will be as humans!” The Portland menu is still a work in progress but will include many of the dishes from the Seattle menu—which consists of dishes such as Smoked Golden Beet Poke, Tempeh Kabobs, and various cocktails such as the Hemingway’s Vacation, made with white rum and grapefruit juice. In the meantime, DeVito promises that the new location will include “more beach, more tiki, and more delicious vegan grub!” The Portland location of No Bones Beach Club is slated to open in early January 2017.
