Vegan restaurateur Pinky Cole—founder of fast-casual burger chain Slutty Vegan—recently opened Philly cheesesteak concept Dinkies in Atlanta, GA. In partnership with Derrick Hayes of Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, Dinkies blends Slutty Vegan’s comfort food with Big Dave’s world-famous recipes—but the menu is all vegan. The eatery serves vegan cheesesteaks made with Impossible meat, cauliflower wings, cheesesteak egg rolls, tater tots, and sweet potato tots. “Teaming up with Derrick of Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks was a no-brainer,” Cole said. “At Dinkies, customers get to experience authentic vegan Philly [cheesesteaks] that taste great. We are excited to bring this fresh concept to the Atlanta market, with future plans to expand.”
Dinkies is located inside Cole’s newly opened Ponce City Market restaurant and cocktail bar Bar Vegan and its menu is available daily for takeout or to enjoy while imbibing cocktails at Bar Vegan. Cole and Hayes plan to expand the concept to other locations.
