The Body Shop Launches Vegan Product

International bath, body, and makeup retailer The Body Shop has announced the launch of a new vegan eye shadow palette. “Our new 100-percent vegan eight-shade palette is enriched with Community Trade Babassu oil from Brazil, making light work of that blending brush as the eye shadow glides on for a long-lasting, crease-free application,” the company said. The makeup set will be available at more than 2,000 The Body Shop locations in American and Canadian stores in September. News of the launch follows a similar product debut by celebrity tattoo artist and makeup mogul Kat Von D, who reformulated her popular palette to be vegan by removing carmine—an insect derivative.
