As a foil to the holiday season’s usual meat-centric “Turkey Trot” runs, vegan-media gurus Jasmin Singer and Mariann Sullivan of Our Hen House, along with attorney and animal law student Sarah Cruse and Tofurky founder Seth Tibbott, are banning together with the debut of an informal “Tofurky Trot.” The four-mile run, which takes place in Portland, OR on Thanksgiving morning, will raise money to fund the ongoing relief efforts of vegan food truck The Cinnamon Snail, which has been working in the New York and New Jersey areas to provide hot vegan food and a charging station for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Runners are encouraged to donate a minimum of $20 to help fund the truck’s efforts.
