UK Brand Chicago Town to Launch Its First Vegan Pizza—and It’s Stuffed Crust

Frozen pizza brand Chicago Town will be launching its first vegan stuffed-crust pizza in January 2020 in Tesco, Asda, and Iceland supermarkets across the United Kingdom. The frozen pizza features barbecue jackfruit, peppers, onions, and dairy-free mozzarella, and a crust that is stuffed with tangy tomato sauce. Chicago Town joins frozen pizza brands such as Goodfella’s in offering vegan pizza. Goodfella’s has offered its vegan option since 2018 with the launch of a frozen pizza topped with falafel, red peppers, spinach, white onion, spicy harissa sauce, and hummus. Earlier this year, the brand expanded its vegan options with the launch of a stone-baked Spicy Vegetable Salsa pizza, which is topped with spicy tomato sauce, vegan cheddar cheese, red and green peppers, black beans, red onion, sweet corn, and salsa.
