The UK’s first all-vegan trade show VegfestUK Trade is set to debut on October 20 in London. The event is organized by VegFestUK and will welcome 150 stallholders—including vegan cheese companies, cruelty-free clothing brands, the UK’s first vegan company Plamil, and more. More than 2,000 trade buyers and media personnel are expected to attend the inaugural event which will also feature panel discussions hosted by vegan celebrities and experts to help small business owners grow their vegan following. While VegfestUK has successfully staged various vegan festivals across the UK for 15 years, this trade show is a new direction for the company. “Already we are experiencing high demands from the likes of supermarkets, hospitality, airlines, and mainstream media to visit our consumer show,” the event’s organizers said, “and we have no doubt that our trade show in 2017 will be a huge success on all fronts.” The 5th annual consumer event London VegFest will be held at the same location for two days starting October 21 and is expected to draw 15,000 guests. Stateside, this year’s food trade show Natural Products Expo West drew a record number of 80,000 attendees and media outlet Organic Authority named plant-based products the show’s biggest trend.
