Vegan Beauty Brand Donates Profits to Harvey Victims
Lime Crime will donate all profits from its Beet It vegan lipstick to hurricane victims.
September 1, 2017
Vegan beauty brand Lime Crime will donate all profits made through September 12 from its vegan Beet It lipstick to the American Red Cross. The matte lipstick is part of the company’s “Velvetine” collection, is infused with French vanilla flavor, and comes in a deep berry pink color that was inspired by Lime Crime CEO Doe Deere’s adoration of red roses. “Stay strong, Houston!” the company stated with its announcement that the shade would benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Other vegan companies have recently donated to human-rights organizations, including vegan shoe brand Keep Company—which partnered with rock band Real Estate to create a new shoe style, the profits from which Keep will donate to the American Civil Liberties Union.
