This week, Colorado-based vegan brand Bobo’s launched a limited edition “Healthcare Heroes” bar, a chocolate chip and oat bar that it will parlay into food donations to hospital workers on the frontlines of fighting the coronavirus pandemic. For every purchase of the new bar (which comes in a pack of six for $19.99), Bobo’s will donate 20 of its Bobo’s Bites to hospitals and medical teams in cities that have been heavily hit by COVID-19. “We rely on our healthcare workers in a tremendous way—now more than ever,” Bobo’s CEO T.J. McIntyre said. “As an essential business, we are fortunate to continue making our wholesome, on-the-go snacks for consumers, but we need to take the extra effort to support our modern-day healthcare heroes on the frontline during these extraordinary times.”

Bobo’s has pledged to distribute more than 20,000 vegan snacks to hospital workers. “We wish all healthcare workers, frontline workers and their families the best of health and express our deepest thanks for everything they are doing for our country,” McIntyre said. “We are honored to be able to give back to them in a meaningful way with our products.”
