Vegan frozen dessert Hakuna Banana Chocolate-Dipped ice cream bars recently launched at select Costco stores in Southern California. The 120-calorie Dipped Banilla bars are made with bananas, dates, coconut milk, and organic chocolate and are available in 10-bar packages for $9.99. Hakuna Banana was created by best friends Hannah Hong and Mollie Cha after discovering the magic of blended frozen bananas. The brand offers ice cream pints and novelty bars and recently launched oat milk-based frozen dessert Totes Oats. “We are so excited about the Costco launch of our Dipped Banilla bars and are thrilled that more families can enjoy our plant-based nice cream,” Hong and Cha told VegNews. “At only 120 calories, our bars are the perfect snack or dessert for everyday enjoyment. We think everyone deserves delicious, healthful indulgence, and are excited to see retailers like Costco carving out more space for items like ours.”

Last month, Costco launched Johnny Pops vegan Orange Smoothie + Oat Milk creamsicles in select locations in Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
