Vegan Fashion Brand to Open Pop-Up Shop in Los Angeles

Between August 29 and October 21, acclaimed New York-based vegan fashion house Vaute Couture will host a pop-up shop in Los Angeles’ Venice neighborhood. The retail outlet will showcase printed crop tops, bear print jumpsuits, and waxed motorcycle jackets while a grand opening weekend will allow shoppers to meet owner/designer Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart, snack on complimentary vegan treats, and receive 30 percent off all merchandise. Vaute Couture first hit the scene with luxurious, animal-free winter coats and was the first vegan label to present (a solo show, nonetheless) at New York’s Fashion Week in 2013. Hilgart has been praised as a “game changer” by Conde Nast and Oprah.com stated, “Vaute Couture proves that compassionate fashion can be chic, and sexy.” The vegan entrepreneur graced the cover of VegNews in March 2010.
