New vegan ice cream sandwiches and cones made by frozen treats brand The Jolly Llama recently debuted at Sprouts Farmers Markets nationwide. The new gluten-free, coconut cream-based line expands on Jolly Llama’s existing vegan sorbet pops and includes four-packs of sandwiches in two flavors (Vanilla and Cool Mint Chocolate Chip) and three-packs of cones in Fudge Sundae and Caramel Chocolate Chip flavors. Jolly Llama is an extension of Casper’s Ice Cream, a dairy brand founded in 1925. “Jolly Llama is a great example of how we, at Casper’s, are dedicated to continuing to push the envelope of the frozen treats industry,” Casper’s Ice Cream CEO Paul Merrill, the grandson of founder Casper Merrill, said. “By leveraging our rich history in innovative ice cream creations, we are able to confidently explore new markets and products that bring the joy of frozen treats to all Americans, regardless of their dietary requirements or preferences.” In addition to Sprouts, Jolly Llama’s new products will expand to other retailers by mid-March, including Albertsons in Boise, ID and Denver, CO, Harmons and Ridleys in Utah, and select Associated Foods.
