Vegan chain Beyond Sushi will open its sixth location on April 23 in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. In 2012, husband-and-wife team Guy and Tali Vaknin launched the flagship location of Beyond Sushi in NYC’s Union Square neighborhood and has since expanded to locations across Manhattan. “We are bringing healthy, plant-based cuisine to the neighborhood,” Tali Vaknin said. “Our goal is to serve the SoHo community the same high quality, fresh vegan food that we have been providing since 2012. We hope to tap into a whole new market of customers who have yet to try our creations.” The new location will serve the restaurant’s signature plant-based sushi rolls in addition to an expanded dinner menu. To further support the vegan community, Beyond Sushi will donate 50 percent of its sales on opening day to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary in Poughquag, NY.
