Vegan Singer Advances to American Idol Finals

Bucks County, PA-native Catie Turner was recently voted into the top 10 finalists of singing competition American Idol. In a recent interview with local media outlet Visit Bucks County, the singer revealed that she is vegan when asked about her favorite restaurants in Bucks County. “The Green Parrot,” Turner said. “Also, downtown Doylestown. I am vegan, so anything that has decent vegan [options] will do, too.” Turner ended the interview by giving advice to her fans who want to pursue a career in the music industry. “Write songs that come from your heart,” Turner said. “They have to mean something to you or else they will not sound good.” The 18-year-old singer will perform with the nine other finalists during the American Idol season finale on May 21.
