Reality television star Kelly Osbourne—the daughter of iconic musician Ozzy Osbourne (who recently adopted a plant-based diet)—discussed her negative relationship with food and drugs during an interview with Express UK. In 2009, the celebrity checked into Oregon’s Hazelden Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center to recover from her prescription drug addition. “I replaced the drugs with food and just got fatter and fatter,” Osbourne said about her addictions. “I’m an emotional eater. When I get upset, my diet goes out the window.” In 2012, Osbourne entered into a relationship with vegan chef Matthew Mosshart who inspired the star to transition to a plant-based diet, which has aided in her weight-loss and in creating a healthier relationship with food. Osbourne is now living drug-free and frequently posts about her plant-based lifestyle on social media. “I really miss eating cheese, so today I tried ‘vegan shell pasta and creamy sauce,’ aka Mac and cheese … you cannot tell the difference,” Osbourne recently captioned an Instagram story. “I used to think being a vegan was boring. Now I have more fun with food now than I ever have before.”
