Virtual Frog Dissection

Students at Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley, Calif., will now be dissecting frogs virtually during biology class. The school reached an agreement with the Animal Welfare Institute (AWI) and Save the Frogs (STF) to use the new Digital Frog 2.5 software for five years, and is the first school in the nation to use the new technology. Both AWI and STF have offered the software (a $900 value) to the first 25 schools who agree to the five-year ban on dissections. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has created a similar program to help schools get the software in classrooms.
