Today, food brands Bitchin’ Sauce and Barnana announced the launch of the “Perfect Chip to My Dip” contest to help couples whose nuptials were ruined by the COVID-19 pandemic have their dream wedding. In celebration of today’s National Chip and Dip Day, Barnana (which makes vegan plantain chips) and Bitchin’ Sauce (makers of vegan almond-based dips) are looking to award one lucky couple $40,000 to cover the expenses of their post-pandemic wedding. “All of us know a couple who had their dream wedding day postponed or canceled in 2020,” Barnana founder Caue Suplicy said. “It’s been about a year since we started canceling group gatherings and celebrations. We want to help one perfectly-paired couple have a chance to celebrate their wedding with friends and family the way they imagined it.”

To enter, couples must submit their love story and photos to illustrate why they are the perfect pairing, along with a description of how their wedding was disrupted last year, through the Perfect Chip to My Dip website by April 25. The brands will then select four finalist couples from these submissions and open voting to the public to determine the grand prize-winning couple.

“Couples probably felt like the world was against them in 2020 and have shown a lot of bravery over the past year,” Bitchin’ Sauce Founder and CEO Starr Edwards said. “My husband L.A. and I are very excited to be launching the ‘Perfect Chip to my Dip’ campaign and cannot wait to bring one of these couple’s dreams to life. Everyone deserves to have their special day and we want to make sure it’s Bitchin’.”

All of Bitchin’ Sauce products are vegan and include dips in flavors such as Spinach Artichoke, Chipotle, and Buffalo. All of Barnana’s plantain chips are vegan and are available in flavors such as Pink Salt, Acapulco Lime, and Spicy Mango Salsa. However, Barnana’s Dipped Banana Bites (in Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, and Peanut Butter flavors) are not vegan as they are coated with a glaze that contains an animal-derived ingredient.
