Whole Foods Market shoppers can now construct a fully vegan turkey sandwich using products from the supermarket chain’s own 365 brand. That’s because the retailer recently debuted Herb Roasted Plant-Based Turkey-Style Slices, its first private-labeled vegan meat product, which are available in 12-slice packages for $2.99. The new vegan turkey slices were spotted by Instagrammer @vegantraveleats at a Whole Foods located in Denver, CO, at Union Station. In March, Whole Foods added a vegan cheese line to its 365 brand which features palm oil-free shreds and slices—that are advertised to “melt and stretch”—in flavors such as cheddar, mozzarella, and smoked gouda. Last year, the grocery chain added almond milk-based ice cream to its freezer aisle under the 365 brand in flavors such as Cherry Bourbon, Salted Pecan Bourbon, and Irish Whiskey.
