Whole Foods Markets across the country will introduce a new vegan menu to its hot bar for one day in honor of World Vegan Day (November 1). The menu was developed by Richard Landau and Kate Jacoby—the celebrated husband-and-wife chef duo behind vegan fine-dining restaurant Vedge in Philadelphia. Dishes on the new menu include mustard-glazed cauliflower, lentil-mushroom stuffing, “cheesy” rutabaga and potato mash, sauerkraut-roasted rainbow carrots, and chocolate toffee miniature cake. The vegan menu will also be available to order online from November 1 until November 6, and the promo code “VEGAN” will discount the price by $5. Landau and Jacoby recently expanded their vegan empire to include VStreet (a vegan street food bar) and Wiz Kid (a fast-casual vegan sandwich shop where the duo recently debuted their line of vegan ice cream branded “Cool Kid”).
