She has long considered factory farming “a relic of a less-evolved era” and continues to sophisticate her compassionate compass. Jonathan Safran Foer’s latest book, Eating Animals, convinced the actress to renew her commitment to a vegan diet and lifestyle. Portman currently stars alongside fellow vegan Tobey Maguire in the new film, Brothers.
