On February 10, New York vegans will pit their culinary prowess against one another in the first NYC Vegan Bake-Off Dessert Competition. The contest, which is sponsored by event website The Skint, will feature 15 to 20 amateur bakers whose culinary confections will be rated by attendees and a panel of judges that include Cinnamon Snail Food Truck owner Adam Sobel and Sarah Gross, owner of Rescue Chocolate. Tickets for the bake-off can be purchased in advance for $12 or bought at the door for $15. Competition-goers can also expect vegan-friendly libations served by the event’s host, The Bellhouse.
