Members of The Humane Society of the United States recently took to the air to document the atrocities of the 2013 Canadian seal hunt. From a helicopter, HSUS captured footage of the innocent animals being killed, bludgeoned, and in some cases left to die either on land or drowning in the ocean. The images will be shown in Geneva at a World Trade Organization hearing, where the committee will deliberate on whether the European Union is allowed to ban the trade of seal products. According to the animal-welfare organization, the seal prohibitions, which are also present in Taiwan and Russia, saved at least one million seals within the last four years.
