New Hampshire Joins National Anti-Poaching Pact
The northern New England state recently signed legislation that would make it a member of the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact, a wildlife welfare system.

New Hampshire recently became a member of the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact, a nationwide network that prevents people who have lost their hunting licenses due to poaching violations in one US jurisdiction to continue hunting in other member states. More than forty states have joined the compact, which was conceived in 1989 by Colorado, Nevada, and Oregon. “The Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact is a valuable resource for cracking down on poaching and will help New Hampshire’s conservation officers protect our wildlife,” says northeast regional director for The Humane Society of the United States Joanne Bourbeau.
