While some advocate a more gradual approach, in a recent feature on Metro UK, writer Dani Kirkova and friend Chris Hines compiled a list of films and speeches that are so moving that they’ll “make you go vegan quickly.” The duo chose films that address different motivations—be it health, ethical, or environmental—for going vegan. While often difficult to digest, films such as Cowspiracy, Blackfish, Forks Over Knives, Vegucated, and Earthlings—which Kirkova says will “traumatize you and make you cry”—are “all worth watching.” Additionally, Hines and Kirkova recommended two powerful speeches—Gary Yourofsky’s “The Most Important Speech You’ll Ever Hear” and “101 Reasons to Go Vegan” by educator James Wildman—as educational tools that’ll help people “take their blinders off’” and transition into veganism quickly. In closing, the duo offered “stroking a cow without feeling like a hypocrite” as a reward for watching all of these films in a row.
