BOSH!, a new Facebook page and video-based website launched this month, is rapidly gaining new followers as it positions itself as an all-vegan alternative to the wildly popular recipe video site Tasty. Shot and produced in the same style as the Buzzfeed venture’s videos, BOSH!’s clips are aimed at “helping you eat ridiculously tasty food” while using “#allplants.” Founders Henry Firth and Ian Theasby told VegNews that BOSH! was founded to “make it easier for everyone to eat and drink good, exciting food that is good for their health and also good for the environment.” Started on June 15, the United Kingdom-based Facebook page has already amassed more than 58,000 followers (at time of writing—up 20,000 in less than 12 hours), as its latest video for Watermelon Jägerbomb Punch receiving the most attention with more than 16,000 likes and 40,000 shares. The page has published nine videos in the eight days it’s been live, including recipes for Galaxy Donuts, Satay Sushi Rolls, and BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Burgers. “We are only on this planet once,” Firth said, “and we have a responsibility to treat it and all of its inhabitants with respect [and] the best way to do that is through food!” The company is looking to work with ventures promoting sustainable messages across social media and manufacturers of animal-free products.
