Vegan marshmallows are coming to Emirates flights

Ever had a craving for vegan marshmallows while cruising at 30,000 feet among fluffy clouds? Us, too. Thankfully, Emirates can now cater to those cravings. The airline has partnered with vegan candy company Free From Fellows to offer gelatin-free mini marshmallows on its flights. Starting in February 2026, business class customers will be able to request the vegan marshmallows on any flight.

“We are delighted that our brands’ reach has extended into the clouds and beyond,” said Lisa Gawthorne, co-founder of Bravura Foods, the parent company behind Free From Fellows. “We are very aware that the products have become a cult favorite not just with vegans but also with the wider sweet-loving community as our mallows have a unique creamy, soft, delicious texture to them that appeals to everyone.”

Report crowns Impossible Foods ‘Best in Business’ for the second time

The plant-based meat market has been tumultuous recently, but according to Inc. Magazine, Impossible Foods remains as impressive as ever. For the second year in a row, the influential business publication has included Impossible Foods on its “Best in Business” list for 2025.

The vegan brand was recognized in the Best Marketing category, with the magazine highlighting its successful campaign with competitive eater Joey Chestnut, which garnered millions of impressions. At a September baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers, Chestnut was challenged to eat 99 Impossible chicken nuggets over the course of nine innings. He succeeded, of course, consuming 275 nuggets in total.

Impossible Foods CEO Peter McGuinness said making the list twice was “bittersweet,” noting that the California-based company is the only plant-based food brand to be included on the list this year. “At an inflection point for the category, we’re continuing to evolve, grow, and show up where it matters, from making the best products to connecting with consumers in bold and unexpected ways,” he said.
