Oregon-based vegan chain Next Level Burger (NLB) will open its newest location on August 24 inside of a Whole Foods Market in San Francisco. The new, 1,700-square-foot location will feature a private entrance, bar stools and booths that will seat approximately 45 guests, and an updated menu with new burgers, shakes, various styles of French fries, sandwiches, and salads—along with a surprise menu item developed specifically for the San Francisco location. NLB was founded in 2014 in Bend, OR by husband-and-wife team Matthew and Cierra de Gruyter with the mission of making organic, non-GMO, plant-based foods accessible to their community. “We’re thrilled to throw open the doors of our new NLB in the epic Potrero Hill neighborhood,” de Gruyter told VegNews. “We feel San Francisco is the perfect city to debut our brand-spanking-new self order NLB Kiosk and our first ever offered NLB table service to our world-changing guests.” The San Francisco location is part of NLB’s partnership with Whole Foods that has thus far resulted in outposts in Seattle, Concord, CA, Brooklyn, NY, and most recently Austin, TX, with further locations to come.
