Vegan-friendly beauty brand LUSH Cosmetics will donate up to $300,000 to organizations fighting for animal, human, and environmental rights on December 3—known as “Giving Tuesday,” a counter to consumerism-heavy “Black Friday.” The brand will match up to $150,000 of the purchase price of its vegan Charity Pot lotion, all proceeds of which will be distributed to support its partner organizations.  \This year, LUSH has chosen five charity partners working to fight the global climate crisis, including youth voter organization The Sunrise Movement, environmental group Amazon Watch, tree-planting organization Retreat, sustainability initiative Aliados, and Climate Action Network Canada—a group working to bring climate change to the forefront of Canadian politics. “At LUSH, we believe it’s our responsibility to advocate for animals, people, and the planet continually and to give back to organizations locally and around the world,” the company said in a statement. “Since launching our Charity Pot program in 2007, we have donated $45 million to over 2,800 organizations.”
