On May 2, Beyond Meat became the first vegan meat company to be publicly traded on NASDAQ and its initial public offering (IPO), which spiked as much as 163 percent, was the most successful of 2019. Beyond Meat’s top six shareholders, including its CEO Ethan Brown, collectively netted $1.6 billion after its IPO.
