Shoe Brand MINK Creates Custom Vegan Stilettos for JLo

California-based vegan shoe company MINK recently created a custom pair of stilettos with solid brass “JLo” heels for singer Jennifer Lopez. MINK—which crafts its collections using animal-free materials in Italy—has become a favorite brand for stars such as Miley Cyrus who are looking for unique, custom couture footwear for events. “After Jennifer Lopez’s stylists saw Miley Cyrus in her MINK MC shoes at the Grammys, they had to order a pair of JLo heels for her big June 7 tour kick-off party in Los Angeles,” MINK founder Rebecca Mink told VegNews. “The MINK USA team prepped the actual JLo signature logo and our top-tier Italian factory and team created the iconic, solid brass, one-of-a-kind JLo heels. Jennifer is so happy with them that she wants to wear them again soon.” Lopez’ stilettos are crafted from Italian patent vegan leather, vegan leather lining, and a handmade brass heel with the JLo logo and a steel internal shank for durability and strength. This fall, MINK plans to launch an online boutique that allows customers to custom design their own vegan shoes the way Lopez did from a selection of four shoe styles, 32 fabric options, and six additional detailing options such as monogramming and crystal details for weddings and special events. “We have always made shoes for A-list celebrity clients ‘custom couture,’ and we wanted to make this option available to everyone,” Mink said.
