Tim Hortons Adds Vegan Beyond Meat Breakfast Sandwich to Permanent Menu in Ontario and British Columbia

Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons has added Beyond Meat breakfast offerings to its permanent menu in British Columbia (BC) and Ontario—which has the highest number of Tim Hortons locations of any province in Canada. The chain first partnered with vegan company Beyond Meat in May to offer three menu items made with Beyond’s vegan Beyond Sausage at select locations. The menu items include a fully plant-based Beyond Meat Vegan Sandwich along with a vegetarian Beyond Meat Breakfast Sandwich and Beyond Meat Farmers Breakfast Wrap. A month later, Tim Hortons announced it would expand the limited-time items to its nearly 4,000 locations across Canada. The chain said it has seen a “particularly positive” reception to the meatless menu items in Ontario and BC and has decided to continue selling them in those provinces. The remaining locations across the country will continue to offer them only until supplies last. However, the chain noted that the products may be reintroduced in the future depending on customer feedback. In July, Tim Hortons expanded its partnership with Beyond Meat to add its first burger options, which are still available for a limited time across Canada.
