Warm up from the inside out with this gin-spiked, holiday cocktail from the Vegan Christmas cookbook. Swap the flavored syrup or citrus fruit add-ins with whatever you fancy.
What you need:
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
1 large orange, peeled and thinly sliced
1 large lemon, peeled and thinly sliced
1 grapefruit, peeled and thinly sliced
2 limes, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cups gin
6 cups tonic water
¾ cup orange syrup (found in most liquor stores)
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
What you do:
- For the sugar syrup, into a saucepan over medium heat, add sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring to ensure sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, place sliced oranges, lemons, grapefruits, and limes. Add sugar syrup, gin, tonic water, orange syrup, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
- Fill eight glasses with ice, pour punch, and serve.
