Chicago Shop Now Ships Vegan Deep-Dish Pizzas to 32 States

Chicago-based vegan restaurant Kitchen 17 has expanded delivery of its deep-dish frozen pizzas to 32 states across the country. The online order options include deep-dish wheat and gluten-free pizzas in flavors such as vegan Cheese, Pepperoni, Traditional, Plant-Eater, and Fully Loaded—all of which can be shipped frozen directly to your door. The states eligible for delivery include Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin, as well as parts of Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Texas.

The eatery added the delivery option following the COVID-19 outbreak, which forced the dine-in closure of all restaurants in Illinois. “We made the initial post at around 3 am and when I woke up at 9 am, we had sold about 80 pizzas,” Kitchen 17 owner Jennie Plasterer told media outlet VegOut Magazine. “We sold nearly 250 pizzas in the first week and were delighted to be able to hire back all of our full-time employees.” The restaurant hopes to expand its offerings to include its popular New York-style pizzas, pan pizzas, and Bacon Jalapeno Popper pizzas.
