On June 19, independent movie theater Arena Cinelounge in Hollywood will be the first physical theater to open in Los Angeles as COVID-19 restrictions begin to lift. The theater will follow new health and safety guidelines, including the installation of an air purifying system, socially distanced seats, and disinfecting seats between movie screenings. To accommodate contactless delivery of concession foods, Cinelounge has launched its own line of packaged vegan popcorn in nine movie-inspired flavors, including sea salt-sprinkled Natural Corn Killers, jalapeño-spiced APOPalypse Now, cheesy Once Upon a Time in Popcorn, and Popcorn of the Living Dead (a blend of cinnamon churro popcorn and salted pretzels).

“As an independent theater owner, I’ve had to be creative about the survival and expansion of my business,” Arena Cinelounge owner Christian Meoli told Deadline. “I’ve taken my love and curation of new films, and directed that energy to a true gourmet cinematic experience with an exemplary signature line of gourmet popcorn blends [that are] all non-GMO, vegan, dairy-, and nut-free. We’re now even selling the popcorn successfully online.”

The theater will kick off its reopening by showing two films—The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) and Babyteeth (2019)—from June 19 to June 25.
