This month, ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s launched limited-edition Vegan Cinnamon Bun Cookie Dough Chunks at participating scoop shops and retailers nationwide. The snackable vegan cookie dough bites—which are the same as the chunks found in Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy Cinnamon Buns flavor—will be sold for a suggested retail price of $3.99 to $5.49 per 8-ounce bag. “There’s no better way to ignore the heat and start planning for season’s greetings,” Ben & Jerry’s Innovation Manager Jody Eley said. “We know our fans often dig around the ice cream to get to the chunks. We just made it a little easier by putting them in a bag.”

The new cookie dough chunks follow last year’s debut of Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Chunks, which Ben & Jerry’s launched after veganizing its most popular flavor, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, in early 2019.

The Vermont-based ice cream brand made an entry into the plant-based ice cream sector in 2016 with four almond milk-based flavors: PB & Cookies, Coffee Caramel Fudge, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Chunky Monkey. Now, Ben & Jerry’s offers 17 vegan flavors—making up 25 percent of its product portfolio—and recently began exploring new base formulations such as sunflower butter.
