Baked goods brand Abe’s is now operating an online vegan muffin shop for a limited time. In honor of National Muffin Day, Abe’s is offering three “party in a box” options: Muffin’ But The Muffin ($75), a sampler pack which contains all 10 of Abe’s muffin flavors (including an unreleased mystery flavor), along with a limited-edition Abe’s lunchbox; Chocolate Madness Box ($80), a a box with all of Abe’s chocolate-flavored treats, including brownies, muffins, pound cake, and Chocolate Celebration Layer Cake, along with a T-shirt; and Ultimate Party in A Box ($90) which includes brand new items like Abe’s Celebration Cakes and brownies, mini muffins and pound cakes, along with celebratory balloons and an Abe’s party hat.

The shop was created to fulfill customer demand for direct shipping, a service that Abe’s previously has not offered. “With everything going on over the past year, we know many consumers had difficulty getting a hold of our products,” Abe’s founder Marty Koffman said. “The e-commerce pop-up shop is our way of celebrating the Abe’s Line and thanking everyone for their continued support during this challenging time.”

Open for delivery nationwide, the shop will run while supplies last and customers will be the first to test the brand’s “Earth-Friendly” mini muffin paperboard boxes which contain 60 percent less plastic than its regular clamshell containers. Abe’s hopes that the test will be successful so that it can replace its current packaging with the paperboard containers at retailers nationwide.

Abe’s vegan treats

The company was founded by brothers Joby and Marty Koffman to provide a sweet treat for Joby’s son Abe, who was born with peanut, tree nut, and dairy allergies. Abe’s muffins are available at select Whole Foods Market, Sprouts Market, Ralphs, Morton Williams, and Hyvee locations in a variety of flavors such as chocolate chip—which is the best-selling vegan snack in the country according to data gathered by market research firm SPINS, with its Wild Blueberry Smash flavor coming in close second. In addition to expanding its distribution last year, Abe’s has been developing its products beyond muffins, with the launch of vegan Chocolate Fudge Brownies and Celebration Layer Cake in Vanilla, Chocolate, and Carrot flavors at retailers last year.
