Alicia Silverstone Hosts Son’s Birthday Party at Sanctuary

Some parents host their children’s birthday parties at fast-food restaurants or pizzerias, but actress Alicia Silverstone had another idea in mind. When son, Bear, recently turned three, Silverstone and husband Christopher Jarecki threw a party at Los Angeles’ Farm Sanctuary—where guests could play with rescued farm animals, eat a gourmet vegan picnic, and participate in a drum circle. And Bear’s day was made even more special when Farm Sanctuary staff members officially named its newest arrival—an abandoned baby lamb—after the three year old. “Bear was thrilled,” Silverstone said. “It was beautiful.”
