This month, vegan actress Alicia Silverstone—star of 1990’s film Clueless—launched a line of functional vegan apple cider vinegar gummy vitamins in partnership with wellness company Garden of Life. Silverstone’s organic gummies are available under the mykind Organics brand and were crafted with functional ingredients to promote immune system health, healthy digestion, boost energy, and support weight management.
“I wanted to make these gummies special, the way I like to do everything with mykind Organics, in the most natural and healthy way,” Silverstone said. “From the moment you see our label, to the first taste of deliciousness, through the way you feel when you take them, you can see they are made differently, from the highest quality, most nourishing ingredients available. That is truly what makes us different and what sets us apart.”

The line features four types of gummies: Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies infused with vitamin B12; Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Probiotic Gummies which feature 2 billion colony forming units (CFUs) of gut health-promoting probiotics; Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Energy Gummies infused with energy-promoting coffeeberry and green tea; and Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Diet Gummies made with green coffee bean extract to promote healthy blood glucose levels.
“We believe in the wisdom of nature, and when we saw apple cider vinegar rising in popularity, we knew we could address this market with truly clean, scientifically formulated, and innovative formulas designed to help our consumers reach their goals.” Garden of Life President Brian Ray said.
The gummy line is available through the Garden of Life website, online at Amazon, and at retailers such as Whole Foods Market.
Silverstone’s vegan lifestyle
Silverstone has been vegan for more than 20 years and has raised her son Bear Blu Jarecki vegan, as well. Over the years, the 44-year-old actress has used her fame to promote animal rights through campaigns with organizations such as Mercy For Animals and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Last year, Silverstone and Jarecki partnered with PETA on a special campaign to recreate a 30-year-old advertisement made by Linda and Paul McCartney that urged fans to “go veggie” but with an updated “go vegan” message. Silverstone has also written two books, The Kind Diet (which chronicles her plant-based journey) and The Kind Mama (a guide to plant-based motherhood).
