On September 5, new all-vegan taco shop Chi Chi Vegan will open in Atlanta, GA. The city’s first fully plant-based taqueria, Chi Chi Vegan will serve a variety of tacos such as the Baja Fish (house-made crispy vegan fish, mango slaw, guacamole, sweet chili, and crema); and Philly Cheesesteak (vegan steak, grilled peppers and onions, cheese, and crema); street-fare-style entrées such as Epic Nachos (tortilla chips, vegan beef, queso, beans, chi chi sauce, crema, corn salad, and guacamole); and Chick’n Quesadilla (vegan chicken, cheese, peppers and onions, corn salad, guacamole, and crema); and traditional Mexican drinks such as the Mangonada.

“Although Atlanta’s vegan food scene is growing, Chi Chi Vegan was birthed out of a lack of plant-based options in my neighborhood,” Chris Hodge, Chi Chi Vegan Founder and General Manager, told VegNews. “I enjoy eating out equally as I love to cook at home. But, I missed having my favorite sour cream and queso while dining out.”

The counter-service eatery features a 20-seat dining room (which is currently limited due to COVID-19), along with takeout and delivery options. Chi Chi Vegan will be open for lunch and dinner with plans to add breakfast, brunch, and freshly baked goods in the future.
