Vegan business Reverie plans to reopen a brick-and-mortar location in the Powderhorn neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN by the end of 2019. Reverie has been primarily operating as a food truck after closing its restaurant and music venue in 2017. In their new space, owners Kirstin Wiegmann and Jeff Therkelsen aim to recreate the community that formed at Reverie’s previous location and will serve lunch, dinner, and brunch menus from its “scratch-made” kitchen, along with beer, wine, kombucha, coffee, and other specialty drinks. “The community that has grown up around Reverie—in all its iterations—is more than we ever could have imagined or hoped for,” the owners said in a joint statement. “Reverie wouldn’t be much without all the love and support that we receive from customers and community every day.” The business has raised 40 percent of its crowdfunding goal of $25,000 in 10 hours—funds it will use to building out the kitchen, carpentry for constructing reclaimed wood furniture, and rebuilding the antique mahogany bar the owners saved from their first restaurant.
