This week, ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s kicked off its non-dairy Dessert’d Tour in its hometown of Burlington, VT. Guests at the sold-out event were treated to free samples of Ben & Jerry’s almond milk-based ice cream along with a dessert made by local chef George Lambertson. In 2016, the company debuted its first four vegan flavors (PB & Cookies, Coffee Caramel Fudge, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Chunky Monkey) and has since expanded the line, which is now comprised of 12 dairy-free pints. The newest addition to Ben & Jerry’s vegan line is Chocolate Salted n’ Swirled, a flavor launched in March exclusively at Target stores nationwide. The Dessert’d Tour—which aims to promote Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy flavors in “non-expected” ways—will stop in three additional cities: Atlanta, GA (August 29), Denver, CO (September 4), and San Diego, CA (September 13).
