United Kingdom-based vegan company The Meatless Farm Co. recently launched its meatless products at New York City restaurant Pomodoro Rosso. The Italian restaurant in Manhattan’s Upper West Side neighborhood is the first to feature Meatless Farm’s products on a restaurant menu in the United States. The brand will be featured as part of Pomodoro Rosso’s Meatless Monday menu in dishes such as meatless lasagna, gnocchi Bolognese, penne Bolognese, and meatless meatballs. The move is part of Meatless Farm’s larger campaign of partnering with various restaurants across the country to help them feature a Meatless Monday menu. “The restaurant scene was the natural next step for Meatless Farm following our fast growth in grocery stores across the globe,” Kasper Vesth, North America general manager at Meatless Farm, said. We’re driving a new way of thinking within a traditional cuisine through our products and we look forward to expanding to other cuisines and regions.” In August, the company debuted its products at 450 Whole Foods Markets nationwide and established its US headquarters in New York City with plans to open production and distribution facilities stateside in support of its North American expansion in 2020. The brand also made its way to 350 grocery stores in Canada last month.
