Cadbury Is Developing a Vegan Milk Chocolate Bar

British candy company Cadbury is developing a vegan milk chocolate bar, Cadbury parent company Mondelēz revealed. The brand—which has been working on a nut-free vegan bar for two years—was previously aiming to release the new product in time for Veganuary in January but did not perfect the recipe in time. “We’re always listening to our consumers, so we can develop and provide people with a greater choice of products. This includes looking at a plant-based Cadbury Dairy Milk bar, however, we have no immediate plans to launch a new product in market [sic],” a Mondolēz spokesperson said. “We are only interested in launching a new vegan product that retains the texture and taste that our consumers expect and love from Cadbury products.” The spokesperson did not share a debut date for the vegan milk chocolate bar.
